Carolyn Ochoa joined The Hay Legal Group PLLC, August 2013 in our South Padre Island office as a Legal Assistant/Loan Document Closer. Her years of experience in the real estate arena coupled with her dedication and professionalism serve all her clients well.

She started her career as a legal assistant for an attorney in SPI, specializing in real estate and estate planning. After 13 years there, she moved to California to work with another attorney as a legal assistant.

But Texas lured her back as she returned to the Valley to serve as an Escrow Officer for Stewart Title Company for three years, then another attorney for a year before joining The Hay Group.

A native of the Rio Grande Valley, she has lived in Laguna Vista, TX for the majority of her life, where she lives with her husband, Jim and their dog, Buster. Carolyn enjoys swimming and reading – especially legal suspense thrillers and mysteries. Travel to California and Louisiana to visit family are also favorite pastimes.
