Melissa Garcia joined The Hay Legal Group PLLC as an Escrow Officer in October, 2020. With more than 16 years of experience in the title business, she started in the industry helping to close mostly builder files and assisting with Spanish translations. She has since worked on many different types of real estate transactions and has expanded her knowledge. She also has several years of experience in customer service in the financial services arena.
Melissa loves learning new thing about the industry each day. Keeping her clients informed throughout the process helps ensure each one will be a smooth closing. She also loves going into the closing room and making sure all parties are comfortable and have a personable experience.
Originally from McAllen, TX, her family moved to Pflugerville where she graduated from Pflugerville High School. She currently lives in Cedar Park, TX with her husband and children. They have a daughter and son that are out of college, a daughter (senior) and son (freshman) in college, and a daughter (Junior) in high school.
She loves spending time with her family, listening to live music and traveling.
Stacey Coleman got her start in the title industry while in college. Her part time job was preparing lender packages all day long, giving her a solid understanding of the escrow process, and igniting a passion for the industry. That foundation paved the way for her career in escrow, which has spanned twenty-four years so far. Stacey says that the best part of her job is sitting down at the closing table with the buyers, sellers, and their agent. Being able to work with so many different people is what makes her truly happy.
Born and raised in Austin, Stacey now lives in Kyle with her two teenaged sons, Tyler and Parker, their sprightly nineteen-year-old “puppy” Nicki, and other dogs, Bert and Junior. To unwind, Stacey loves to cook and tend to her homegrown tomatoes. She’s an avid movie fan, and is fascinated with true crime. When she’s not feeding a houseful of teenagers, you’ll find her volunteering at the Human Society and PAWS, the animal shelter in Kyle.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Katie moved to Austin in 1995. She currently calls Round Rock her hometown, where she lives with her husband and son, who just graduated high school.
Katie comes to the Hay Legal Group with an array of skills she developed throughout her career. She has excelled in operations, human resources, warehousing and administration. She spent several years supporting executives at a granite and tile company as an Executive Assistant, before discovering her passion for the real estate industry, where she has served as an Escrow Processor for the last seven years.
Getting Schedule C’s cleared for closing brings her great satisfaction, and her eye for details and dedication to clients makes Katie a valued member of the team. A true team player, Katie enjoys working with her work-family at Hay.
When Katie is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new restaurants in the area. She loves to visit museums, and is an amateur photographer. She never misses her nephew’s soccer games, and is an avid baseball fan. Go Rangers!
